Santa Catalina Announces Commencement Of Drill Program On Dsa Project

VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1995--SANTA CATALINA MINING(VSE: SLM ) SANTA CATALINA MINING CORP. (the "Company") announces that it has been informed by the site geologist that the first hole has been spudded on the DSA Project located in Warm Springs and Alta Mining Districts, Blaine and Custer County, Idaho.

The four hole drill program is designed to test a massive sulfide target. These types of deposits typically range in size from 25 to 170 million tons of 10% to 22% combined lead-zinc and 1 to 6 ounces per ton of silver.

Nine years of work, including 2,847 soil samples and 14,765 feet of diamond drilling in 27 holes have led to the target which the Company is beginning to test today.geological environment is similar to the Red Dog mine, Alaska, and Sullivan mine, British Columbia.
